However, if you are powerful enough by overlevelling raids, you can simply walk in, alone, and solo them. The general rule of thumb is that you need to be at least one expansion and one level above a raid to solo it, depending on class and gear. Two expansions is safer. When walking into an old raid, you may be able to set the difficulty, where that applies. I think the first time you will see it will be in Level 80 raids, though. Right-click your portrait, and choose man and Normal to select the easiest mode, which is what you will want when you first start soloing while levelling.
Some raid instances exist, for each maximum level of an expansion: 60, 70, 80, 85, 90, , and Some raids only exist as Normal, some in Normal and Heroic, some in all 4, it differs per instance. You can get cosmetic rewards this way transmog gear and mounts and the like , but it being a low level instance means the gear that drops will be useless for equipping.
Post by Fingulfin every single one of the 5man dungeons from vainilla, plus zul'gurub, AQ20, every boss in BWL exept 2 infamous ones that due to the mechanic of the fight can't be soloed and a few bosses in AQ Almost every boss in AQ40 is soloable by a DK.
H MGT is easy to solo for nearly any class; my warlock, warrior and druid breeze through it. Karazhan Every boss is also solo'able, at least by warlocks, druids and DKs. Beasts will be solo'able in the expansion after Cata. It doesn't matter how much damage a stacking debuff does, if you can DPS a boss down before the stacks get too high you are peachy. DBS may or may not be soloable. Its not the mark that is an issue though; I've been in raids where we DPSd him down with only one tank.
I have no idea what he would do if there is no target to put it on, and he will be casting quite a few of them seeing as you will be tanking the blood beasts.
I think that 10 man will be solo'able in a few expansions though. Sindragosa is iffy because of the ice block mechanic No clue what the hell you are talking about "wing buffet", Mystic Buffet is the magic damage increasing ability.
That isn't a good argument for her not being solo'able though, with enough Expo's under your belt no amount of magic damage will be an issue. For example Hakkar on ZG uses mind-controll on everyone but the main tank, if u solo him then he won't use it. B: I've never seen her use the iceblock on the main tanks, so I'd assume that when soloing she wont use it. If she does uses the iceblock, then she's imposible to solo, now and forever, cuz if nobody breaks the ice, u suffocate.
C: what do you mean by "expo"? Post by DarkOpeth Magister's Terrace It is a joke. You, Rankkorr? I expected better, lol. It took some clever target prioritization, kiting, and well timed cooldowns, but I did it, and continue to do so at least once a week for the mount.
Granted, as of late I've been walking around in with some What should I solo? Dungeons have normal and heroic variants, and raids may have man and man sizes. You can choose what you want to run by right-clicking on your character portrait, selecting Raid Difficulty, and then selecting size and difficulty level you want.
Like soloing other dungeons! Having trouble getting past a door or summoning a boss? If you backtrack, you probably missed something. Clear your bags and take the time to loot everything as you go — even if you just vendor most items, you can make a profit, and crafting materials especially cloth and BoE items can sell well on the auction house. From the meeting stone in the center, fly or walk to the platform just over the lava and talk to Lothos Riftwaker to head into the raid you may need to do the attunement quest first.
Reputation: Hydraxian Waterlords Notable drops: Tier 1 raid set, tier 2 raid set legs , three pets for Raiding with Leashes , and two legendaries — Thunderfury and Sulfuras Tricky bits: Nothing, really. Majordomo Executus must be forced to submit by killing his companions before you can convince him to summon the final boss, Ragnaros. You need to mind-control Razorgore using the orb at the end of the room and make him destroy the eggs in the rookery.
The trick? Your mind control only lasts 90 seconds and while Razorgore is destroying eggs adds will spawn and attack him — and if he dies, you die.
Tricky Bits: None. The red one even has a feat of strength! Tricky Bits:. Head for the tower. Head to Hellfire Citadel in the center of the zone and find the entrance on the western side, ground-level.
Head to Coilfang Reservoir and swim down the pipe in the middle of the lake. When you emerge, the raid entrance should be directly in front of you. Hyjal is to the north and should be marked as The Battle for Mount Hyjal on your map.
Reputation: Scale of the Sands Notable Drops: Tier 6 raid set gloves, helm , three pets for Raiding with Leashes III Tricky Bits: Though most of the fights themselves are straightforward, you will have to speak to the faction leader in the Alliance and Horde towns to trigger the encounter and then fight off waves of enemies — some of which attack from different directions — before the boss appears.
This will require some running around, even for ranged classes, but none of the fights are particularly tough at level The Eye is one of several dungeons that make up Tempest Keep, but the raid dungeon will be found in the largest of the buildings, hovering in the center of the complex. Look for the green, rather than purple, portal. Head to what looks like an entrance to the temple and then take a sharp right — the actual entrance is in a hole in the wall.
Look for the entrance marked on your map. Naxxramas hovers over Wintergarde Keep and is marked on the map. If this happens, just wait for him to respawn and try again. Head to lowest level of Wrymrest Temple — the entrance is on the north side and Obsidian Sanctum is straight ahead when you walk in.
Tricky Bits: Just head in, skip past the drakes, and attack Sartharion. Head for The Nexus in Coldarra and look for the highest instance entrance. In phase 1, DPS as normal. In phase 2, attack adds at range or jump on a platform to fly and kill the rest. For more details, check out this video to walk you through the fight warning: language. The Vault is in the center of the fortress on the northern end of the zone, but is only accessible when your faction has won Wintergrasp.
Tricky Bits: The only hard part about this is making sure your faction controls Wintergrasp. Ulduar Difficulty: Level 80, 10 or 25 players, with some hard modes that award better loot if players choose to make the encounter tougher rather than setting difficulties as we do today.
For example, not destroying the towers on Flame Leviathan makes the encounter harder, and thus rewards extra loot and special achievements. Located: Northern Storm Peaks in Northrend.
Trial of the Crusader Difficulty: Level 80, 10 or 25 players, with a heroic difficulty Located: Icecrown in Northrend. Head to the Argent Tournament grounds in the northeast section of the zone and look for the raid entrance on the eastern side of the coliseum. Burn him down fast to avoid problems. Look for the Argent Crusade bashing the door down.
Go forth and slaughter dragons, for victory! For classes without good self-healing, gear with leech — if you can find it — can help you keep yourself going.
